Rental

Trips With Shuttle:
$25 plus tax per canoe
$20 plus tax per kayak
$12 plus tax per tube

Trips Without Shuttle:
$5 per hour plus tax per canoe or kayak
(two hour minimum)
$25 per day plus tax per canoe

$5 per hour plus tax per tube
(two hour minimum)
$12 per day plus tax per tube

Rental Information:
Two adults and one small child per canoe.
One person per kayak.
Tubes fit one person per tube only.
Rentals include life jackets, oars.

Life jackets are required for adults and children.

Shuttle Times:
10 am   12 pm   2 pm   3 pm

Reservations required at A-Frame office.

Shuttle times may vary, call ahead.

Trips may be cancelled at the discretion of staff based on river conditions or other circumstances.

Canoe and Tube Rental Rates

Spend the day on the beautiful Youghiogheny River paddling a canoe or floating on a tube. 

River’s Edge Camping and Cabins offers canoe, kayak and tube rental with or without a shuttle ride “up river”.

 

Trip With Shuttle:

We drive you 3 miles up river to Connellsville and drop you off at the river park.  Typically, it will take you about an hour and 45 minutes to paddle back to the campground where you will pull the canoe out.  Actual time spent on the river can depend on river conditions—fast or slow currents, and you!  Many guests stop off along the banks of the river for a picnic lunch or to fish.  It’s up to you how long to make your trip. You can use the canoe, kayak or tube until 8:00 pm.  Simply pull the canoe, kayak out of the water at the campground and return your oars and life jackets to the camp store.  Tubes must be returned to the store; canoes and kayaks may be left on the canoe ramp.

 
Rates are per canoe, kayak or tube and include life jackets, oars and shuttle.

Trip Without Shuttle:

Launch the canoe from the banks of the campground and paddle around all day if you wish!  Rates are hourly or per day and include life jackets and oars. You can use the canoe, kayak and tube until 8:00 pm.  Simply pull the canoe, kayak out of the water at the campground and return your oars and life jackets to the camp store.  Tubes must be returned to the store; canoes and kayaks may be left on the canoe ramp.
